The staff was verry friendly, the room was not ready yet, but the arranged for our luggage and we got a drink in the bar. The facilities (pool) was verry clean and is a nice area to relax after a day in London.
little walk to nearest tube station but other than that was lovely
we went for dinner in the restaurant, the burger was average for the price
Hotel Reception staff attentive and helpful Drink on arrival Big Room, comfy bed, immaculately clean and daily maid service Cannot beat the Location Gym was really good for a hotel.
Lighting system in room was confusing. Hard to explain but one night we just got up and took the room key out at the entrance to switch all off as couldn't fathom it ! Think they are wired up oddly so that you have to have them all on or some but not the ones you want and the small reading lights manually push in we realised next day but this wasn't clear. Only one free teeny bottle of water in fridge each. And fridge wasn't cold. No water dispenser's on floor which would have been preferable. Staff in the bar mixed standard of service. One evening we tried to have food as a snack before going out later for dinner but it took so long ( 25 minutes ) we had to leave half of it to go and get ready. There were plenty of staff and it didn't seem busy so we were puzzled. Another evening, the waiter asked my three times what my room number was. I don't understand why he didn't just write it on a notepad when he took order ? Our room ( room 321 ) had no natural light/no view and we could not open a window. After three night's this became claustrophobic. Also on the morning of our check out, noisy internal building/maintenance work woke up up early. The apps on TV in the room didn't work all of the time. Think it needs updating. Could've called for help but it was late and didnt want staff in room at that time.
Absolutely amazing aesthetic. Decorations were great and the colour scheme throughout the hotel really helped to create the romantic atmosphere that I was looking for.
Nothing. It was amazing.
