Hotel Alpina Luzern

Close to train station and comfortable

We chose the hotel because it said it had parking (one of my filters). We arrived with a sign on the door telling us to check in at Hotel Monopol a few doors away. I ran in and asked where to park and was told the car park was full but if we parked on the street the hotel would pay for this. It was about 7.20pm - after finding somewhere to park we then checked in eventually about 9pm. There was only 1 receptionist, she charged us for the parking and our dog (not a problem but she didn’t say she was charging for the dog) - it was now too late to go out to eat with our dog. We were then disturbed until gone 2am by people in the room next door. I rang reception for 5 minutes at 2am and they didn’t answer. There were no bedside lamps The only good thing was the comfortable bed but we didn’t get to sleep until after 2am

Property was just fine. Right in center of town. There was NO PARKING. Nearest spot cost around CHF 50. Would recommend not bringing car. We parked at an ice rink which was 25 minutes walking.

The location in the city center is perfect. And the fact that we could park our car there, was amazing

Nothing

Walkable to the railway station makes it very convenient. Good breakfast at Monopol.

Elevator is too small

Nothing much except that it is close to the railway station.

Rooms are small, bathrooms are very very small and in winter you have to go to another hotel to check in and then walk out on the road to go to this hotel.

Very good location near from train station
