Always loved this hotel. It's such a step up from a lot of the other stopover hotels, for a modest increase in price.
Nothing, apart from it's getting very popular, and can be booked up.
Near to the Tunnel, car is safe and the rooms great. This was our 4th stay.
Clean, spacious entrance, reception, general sitting area. Rooms very spacious and well thought out, even with teamaking facilities and in-room fridge8 ( as it is a Holiday Inn that's probably the American influence) Very easy to get to.
Very restricted menu not reallyshowing much french influence
Hotel grounds for dog walking
facilities great, room size very good, breakfast was good. As you walk in it is extemely impressive with a very nic and large reception area.
Evening menu was not very good for choice, and they had run out of my first choice, although the Ceaser salad I then chose was very good.. The cost of the food was too high for this type of establishment as was the wine.
Lovely quiet spot with trees and shrubs but very close to the tunnel.
Food was OK but could be better and restaurant a bit more classy for the price.
We have been at this hotel years back. We like the location, and having the pool. The fact that it also had several charging stations for EVs was a real plus for us. The space around the hotel is nice but could have even better amenities for kids, for example.
Communication through the booking.com was not great. Reception had vague replies or could not confirm come basic options of our reservation (such as a bed. We are a family of 3, I purposely gave the right info in my search so I get a proposition of a room to fit us). At check)in, they had sorted in out though. When we changed our booking date, the rate was slightly higher whereas if I made the search, I would obtain a same initial price. Of course, breakfast quality is a real downside. We also didn't quite enjoy the pricey mocktails. The building looks tired. You cannot connect your smartphone or netflix accounts on their TV. Their terrace was not ready to welcome customers despite full spring, and you had to arrange chairs and tables yourself.
We enjoyed the peacefulness of the location and the facilities like the pool, the wet sauna and the squash court. Plenty of towels, soap, robes and slippers, hair dryer, iron, cups, even a sewing kit - impressive.
The sofa that was used as a bed for our teenage son was very creaky and loud. Also, it took a long time for the water to get warm enough for shower. In addition, the kettle was full of limescale, pieces of it were floating at each use, so we weren't able to use the heated water. One of the towels had 2 big yellowish stains. The restaurant's menu is poor and the pool table was out of order.
