Minimalistic, purpose-built. Amazing breakfast!
A bit off downtown Salzburg.
Bed and space is good
No
Comfortable beds, Clean. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking. On edge of town so good for getting an early start. There is a regular bus from the stop outside the hostel that takes you to the centre via the airport so it would be an ok place to stay even if one didn't have transport.
The automatic light in the bathroom which is not fun in the middle of the night.
Nothing
Extremely disappointed by my stay. First of all, it's not a hotel but a youth hostel (not at all obvious from the description). The rooms look like a vacation camp, but where are the pine-scented rooms described in some of the reviews? We were on the front of the building, no air-conditioning, so the window was open onto the bus stop 3 m from the window, so it was extremely noisy. Bad luck, there was no cold water in the morning (not a good thing when you want to fill your water bottle before a 6-hour drive). The refectory used as a breakfast room is just horrible, extremely noisy (designed as it was in the 70s). The breakfast (praised in other reviews) is frankly shabby and run by staff who are clearly not very motivated by their work. Last but not least, the advertised beautiful view just doesn't exist. Don't be seduced by the incomprehensible good rating and the glowing reviews.
Beautiful architecture of the hotel. Open and bright spaces. Tasty brekfast. Good choice for long stay and one night.
Rooms were clean and big Public transport connectivity to all places Surrounding areas are quiet.
Property is on the outskirts. No supermarket or restaurant nearby. The mall closest to it, shuts by 6 pm. Causes a problem for dinner. Close to no variety in breakfast No double beds or option to combine single beds If questions are asked, staff is not aware of answers. No basic necessities like towels and soap are given. Need to ask for it. Light wasn't working in washroom, shower works on sensor and cannot be turned off manually. Have to make your own bed and give them back the sheets and covers while checking out
