StrasbourgLovely spacious rooms - with large bathroom. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great with a range of fresh foods and pastries. Fabulous location.
An iron would have been handy however I note there were ironing services available at an additional cost of need.
The Hotel was in a good location and had a nice courtyard to enjoy.
We had a small room up in the attic that was rather noisy and the bed was not particularly comfortable. I did not think the room was up to the standard for this type of hotel or the price point.
This hotel was really lovely - we had a huge room on the top floor, with a fabulous bathroom, and some period furniture, everything was very clean and there were a couple of delicious chocolates left on the bedside table for us. What was really clever, however, was how the hotel have worked some great mod-cons into a beautiful old building: the curtains, for example, are heavy, classical curtains very much in keeping with the decor, but they have thinner, modern, proper blackout curtains hidden behind them, so we slept really well. The room cooling didn't appear to do anything when we turned it on, and yet 20 mins later the room was cool, so it was definitely working! The windows are in a traditional style, but are properly double-glazed, and they do open if you want fresh air. A real bonus was the bathroom - no bath, but a huge walk-in wetroom shower that is better described as an experience than merely a shower - it was amazing! Towels etc were all good, and robes and slippers also provided. Extra pillows were found in the huge wardrobe, along with a hairdryer etc, and the TV was unobtrusive but modern enough to cast to. It was a short stay and so we didn't have breakfast or try the spa, but I'm confident based on the bathroom that the spa would have been excellent. The hotel was a bit of a trek from the station,, but is ideally located for proximity to the oldest and nicest parts of Strasbourg and made exploring really easy. All the staff we spoke to were very helpful.
There was no lift - this is just because the building is old and there's no room for one, and to be fair to the hotel they did offer to take our cases up for us, but we did it ourselves in the end.
Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff at the front desk and excellent locatiin. We added breakfast which was very good but a bit costly. Room 21 was great.
Everything was great.
Great location. Lovely room.
No heating ! Bar closed early. Poor lighting in the lounge area.
The room itself was large, the twin beds in one room were "VERY SMALL and SHORT". My daughter and grandsons' feet hung off the bed and so narrow that they could not even turn over. The breakfast was good and had help that was always close by. Since arriving late Tomas was very gracious in helping us get one cocktail and unwinding after a difficult travel day.
THERE IS NO PARKING. We arrived late due to holiday traffic we had not known about coming from the U.S.A. My husband and son had to go to a parking lot that was NOT a 5 or 10 minute walk. It took them 25 minutes to make it back to the hotel after using the parking lot that was recommended. It was dark now and very difficult to follow streets when many are closed. We are 2 elderly travelers late 70's and we need certain accommodations like being able to use a car to expand our sightseeing.
