Banff Ptarmigan Inn

Location is very convenient.

The front desk service is not attentive enough.

It's so close to everything downtown

Front Desk Staff was awesome, went the extra mile. Familiarity of the area, provided recommendation of places to visit, provided ease of direction to rooms as the hallways are like a maze. Also explained that our rooms can accommodate an extra cot. Rooms are clean. I wish we had a better view as our windows were facing an alley.

Booked two rooms with double queen size bed. The 1-800 number or customer service support or wherever that may be support did not sync with the site front desk. We asked for a an extra cot as it was an option in booking.com then confirmed this with Ptarmigan Inn by calling local #. On the day of check-in, called customer service # to double check if the cot can be prepared on each room as we are a party of 10. The sad part, they changed their mind- cot it is not allowed for our type of rooms. Feeling disappointed, booked an extra room for 2 in a different hotel. Anyways, upon checking-in at Ptarmigan, front desk notified us that our type of room was allowed to have a cot in each of the rooms. The person over the customer service line needs to be trained or briefed -- to coordinate with the local site. Banff hotel rooms don't come in cheap.
