Granville Island Hotel

The hotel is on the far east side of Granville Island, and our room faced a small grassy hill overlooking the water. The room was immaculate, and I loved the fact that the refrigerator door was glass - so easy to se if you forgot something. ;). I was concerned at first with our room being closest to the elevator, but the room is very well insulated. We actually had to open the window to get a little fresh air and cool down the room, but people walking outside was the most of the noise all weekend. The restaurant downstairs seems very swanky, but we stopped in after a full day of shopping for a happy hour cocktail and it was delicious. Every staff member was wonderful the entire time - very gracious and helpful. Great location to explore all Granville has to offer!

Parking is a bit of a pinch - we always got parking but that was a little lucky on our part. Be aware if you go you may not be able to park in their lot - I assume it gets even worse during the summer tourist season.

Had breakfast at the market but had Happy Hour one day and dinner the next. Both were excellent - food and service!

With no leaves on the trees, outside our window, the industrial look of Granville Island prevailed. Summer will be beautiful with a combination of leafy trees and industry but next time we will opt for a water view!

Able to open window and sliding door at night and it’s quiet Location is great for walking and being able to avoid city traffic Felt quite safe in the area, even when walking in the dark

Prefer to have breakfast included. Even a free coffee service in the morning with a muffin
