Staff was nice

Lots of construction and the room was not the size that was on the contract and cost me extra $ for a smaller room

We were there in "low season" (October), so the resort was never crowded and the waits were seldom and short. The food was plentiful and always available when we wanted something to eat. Housekeeping was excellent, the beds quite comfortable, and the refrigerator was stocked with sodas and beer. The one hour of free snorkeling off the beach on the resort was actually quite good. Except for the front desk, the staff is very nice, most of whom speak some English. There were entertainment options every night and one free room service per day, if you download the app. The main pool was beautiful and the swim up bar was fun. There is a fun kiddie pool by the buffet, and a second adult pool/bar on the beach side (the infinity pool was closed while we were there.) Refillable water bottles are provided and can be filled in a variety of places.

Obviously a luxury hotel at one point, there are updating and maintenance issues that need addressed. The quality of the food was hit (the seafood restaurant was usually spot on) or miss (the buffet was mostly over cooked food, with some fresh food options). The front desk staff was NOT friendly.The alcohol was SO SO SO watered down and there was no such thing as carbonation in the sodas. Don't talk to the concierge staff - they are DETERMINED to get you to a time share presentation. Room service is super slow - at least 45 minutes - and you can't order ahead (like the night before for breakfast/coffee). One of us got stomach issues - not sure if it was a "normal" virus or something in the food/water.

Everything. I specifically required one bed and they gave us a tween. There was no electricity at the hotel, no drinking water, no availability for breakfast. Hotel was dirty, staff was unhelpful. The excuse was that they were renovating 25% of the hotel and there was an electricity problem in the island. The rest of the island and independent restaurants did not had any issues that day. I still do not know were to file a complaint PROFECO, SECTUR, COFEPRIS, SECRETARIA DR SALUD.

Comfortable. Very clean. The stuff were great and very welcoming. The pool and private beach were absolutely wonderful.
