Bretignolles Sur MerLocation and the rooms were great
Breakfast was pricey
Location next to the sea, and good views. the bedroom was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The bonus of a balcony with sea views was a bonus. The hotel element was far superior to the restaurant
We stayed here because we wanted to have a meal at the Michelin star restaurant. We were very disappointed with the food on the tasting menu. It lacked flavour and some of the food combinations were very strange eg seafood with stewed apple!. We have visited numerous Michelin restaurants and this one was so disappointing.
Location and very friendly welcome
Bed was a little too firm
Hotel attached to the Michelin listed restaurant of J.M. Perochon. M. Perochon checked us in with perfect English spoken and provided beers from the reception fridge. Our G/F room was large, with the bedroom on a mezzanine floor. Good facilities. Hotel is just across the quiet road from a sandy beach. M. Perechon offers tasting menus of high cuisine. Other restaurants are within walking distance but we decided to go 'for the experience' and economise in the next days to balance the cost. The evening was very pleasant with polite, well trained, staff and a spectacular sunset. I suppose whether one considers the hotel is value for money depends on one's values. It wasn't something we could do every night but it was an experience (and it was also the only hotel in the area with availability at the time). We only had breakfast on one morning; this was excellent, pre-ordered the previous night.
Perfectly situated in a lovely seaside location
Nothing

Phone rang two notes every 2 hours over night- informed staff in morning, didnt seemed worried. Noted a clearly preferential treatment of French guests, would think carefully before booking if British
