Disappointing Experience – Would Not Return Our stay was marred by several issues that made the experience disappointing. Housekeeping was extremely inconsistent—staff knocked on doors as early as 7 a.m., but after that, we didn’t see them for days. During our seven-night stay, we received fresh towels only once and had to take out our own rubbish. While most of the front desk staff were polite and helpful, our interaction with the Assistant Director, Courtney Rowel, was unacceptable. She was condescending, dismissive, and unprofessional in both tone and manner—certainly not the kind of treatment one expects when staying at a paid property. If you’re booking through Booking.com and have prepaid, be cautious. Despite showing a detailed receipt confirming that the full amount—including city and accommodation taxes—had been paid, we were told we owed additional charges at check-in. Staff insisted this was due to varying nightly rates and local tax policies, but this should not be the guest’s issue. Be prepared to firmly show your Booking.com breakdown and clarify that no further payment is due. The pool area was also disappointing. There was no shaded space, several sun loungers were broken, and drink prices were excessive—$22 for a single frozen cocktail after tax, which felt exploitative. Overall, between the billing confusion, lack of housekeeping, and poor service from management, we wouldn’t stay here again.
