The place had a hip vibe
They had overbooked and since we booked on this platform they gave our room away. I spent a lot of time choosing this spot and booking it, and when we arrived (my friend and both of our 13 year old daughters), we were so disappointed that they had GIVEN OUR BOOKING AWAY. We arrived around 6:00 pm after a day at the boardwalk-- hungry and tired and ready to get off our feet and relax. They did put us up at another hotel. Thank goodness, and the other hotel was actually nicer (though a bit of a drive and further from town--my friend was very annoyed and I felt awful because I had arranged our booking). However, the manager offered us a future night free at their hotel to hlep make up for all the inconvenience. He said to just email him. I emailed and called and never heard back. Kind of disappointing to say the least. We were excited to hot tub, but could see that it was closed and roped off anyway. Things happen and hot tubs breakdown. I get that--but flat out overbooking your hotel and telling us that it's just like how AIRPLANES operate seemed ridiculous. Sorry, but this has never happened to me at a hotel before.
There was a bit more of a buzz than I was expecting here which was nice, the restaurant and bar is in a great location giving the place a lot of energy.
Not as close to the boardwalk or downtown as I was expecting but that was on me, I had a car though so it wasn't an issue
