I am very grateful there was an affordable choice within my budget. So so thankful. The staff were very nice.
It is definitely not upscale or modern. But if you have reasonable expectations, and your budget is the priority, it will be fine. I just needed a safe bed and shower for a medical appointment nearby, and this place was a Godsend.
Cheap place to stay in Beverly for one night
It had a very musty smell, bathrooms weren’t very clean and the windows were very hard to open. Also didn’t help the smell when we left them open for hours
I had the only bathroom in the place, shower were shared. Common area kitchen with Fridge, microwave and table.
I had left my luggage at the front desk for safe keeping before I left, and when I came to pick it up, one of them was missing. For some unexplained reason it had ended up, to another persons room, and it took us a while to figure it out and recover it.
Good location, close to Santa Monica Boulevard for buses, and Rodeo Drive. Location is the ONLY positive about this hotel.
Staff were miserable, unprofessional and unhelpful. Kitchen was poorly equipped, no plates, cutlery, cooker, kettle or anything else you would expect in a kitchen. We did manage to heat microwave meals in the microwave. Hotel was dirty and in desperate need of updating / deep cleaning. We had no cold water in the sink, which was in the bedroom, not the ensuite. Bath was disgusting with rusty pipes and broken tiles. Wooden sash windows would not shut (or open any further). We had an upstairs room overlooking the back of the restaurant kitchen next door - it was noisy until about 1am and then restaurant cleaners arrived about 6am. On arrival we were given a list of rules and a price list of fines for various things. On departure we asked the receptionist to check our room to make sure that we would not receive any fines. Receptionist checked our room and said everything was okay, but would not sign to say there would be no fines until house keeping checked the bed to make sure 'we had not peed in the bed'. We are a respectable English couple in our 50s who have travelled all over the world - have never experienced anything like this before! Normally we are asked if we have enjoyed our stay.... We have complained to booking.com but have had limited response, and now they are not answering messages - we do not believe this hotel should be advertised on booking com or other reputable sites
