Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel

Lovely room and great access to spa facilities

Very subpar breakfast experience, slow service, multiple incorrect orders and when we did finally get the right breakfast it was hardly worth the high price.

Rooms have good amenities such as robes, a coffee maker , Elemis toiletries. A grand old house.

Staff seemed short handed and stressed on this visit, although they were generally pleasant .

The location was excellent about 15 minutes walk to Bath centre. The staff were very friendly and seemed very good at there job.

When we got into the room, the sink was cracked. The staff moved us and apologised. The spa looked very run down. There were lots of tiles missing in the outside pool area, lots of cracks in the grout. The steam room wasn't working. We both left feeling very disappointed as it is classed and advertised as a 5 star hotel.

The Spa was AMAZING. Lovely helpful staff, beds comfortable, rooms were clean and they provide everything you might need. Great experience.

The food menu was not impressive. Menu needs a little revision. I noticed while I was waiting for my takeaway delivery, that there were a number of guests who were also waiting for takeaway deliveries. Also, they have a bar but sell no crisps or peanuts etc.

Beautiful old building and grounds.

The entire hotel is in poor condition, this building, all rooms and spa facilities especially are all in need of money spending on a renovation. Indoor pool cold, floor tiles potentially dangerous. Changing rooms falling apart. General feeling of being in a tired building wherever we went.

Property had a nice lounge breakfast room was very nice and open. Its a pity the breakfast didnt come up to the same standard. The breakfast was cold each morning and wasnt enough plates. Breakfast table wasnt laid correctly. not very well presented very disappointed

Location, gardens and decor of public areas. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

Outdoor hot pool while hot and enjoyable it really needs some TLC , some crude repairs visible.
