The cleanliness was good and the room temperature was well maintained for a good nights sleep.
No breakfast buffet View from room was not great no toothbrush/paste provided in room. Had to ask reception
The "hotel" was mostly quiet and in a decent location, albeit a little outside of town. The room itself had a decent bathtub.
For a place advertised as a five star hotel, I can't for the life of me figure out why it is rated that way. The hotel was massively lacking amenities, the rooms were very small and stacked in with apartments, and the linens and towels were subpar.
The view was amazing, and then space was very large
There were wires hanging out from under the TV, there was also surround sound built in to the building however they did not work, and the computer in the room the keyboard didn't work
Bed and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable, we were constantly disturbed through the night by people coming and going, the washing machine was not explained to us so we thought we didnt have one when it was in the shared hallway.
Walking distance to town centre
Liked everything
Under cover parking yes good
Too much hassel to watch NZ rugby test. We did not bring our tablet/ laptop with sky go on it. Carrying luggage upstairs.
The location was good, only a 1km walk into town. The staff were all really friendly
Didnt like that the rooms were quite small, the advertising is slightly misleading as majority of the pics are of the larger rooms and not many of the room we actually ended up getting. Was a lot of money for the small space, the water was not drinkable still (which they cant help) but some bottled water or an area to refill water bottles would have been nice as we had to boil the kettle and there was not really anything to put the water in to cool down in the fridge.
Upgrading to a lake view apartment
We assumed all apartments have lake view. Important note, the deluxe rooms don't have any view.
