Good neighborhood

The actual location of the hotel was near an event we were attending.

We had booked the room for a single night. When we arrived we were hit with a strong odor. The 'lobby' was dark and dingy and smelled like something rancid, we also noticed a pile of dirty laundry directly behind the front desk. But we ignored it and decided to check in. On the way to the room, the hallways were littered with garbage, the entire carpet was black and dingy. In the room, we found a poorly cleaned kitchen area, black marks all over the walls, hair in the bedsheets, the doors were dirty and beat up, there was a sticky substance all over the chair in the corner of the room, and the counters were not wiped down. All of this along with the fact that the hallways and room had the same rancid smell as the lobby. We went right back downstairs and checked out.

Good area

The roaches have taken over, which is really sad because a year ago we stayed here and it was good. The first night a guy literally trying to beat the door down. We called the desk and was told the cops had been out before and would do nothing about it . They did eventually move us to a different floor and room .. the next day a guy working the desk came to the room and forced his way in saying we needed to leave, after telling him I paid for 2 nights he said ti go the desk to take care of the bill.which I took my receipt showing I was paid through the next day his answer was ,yeah I know ,,,that was it no apology for being rude and he could have called my room or cell phone, he didn't need to force his way in..So unfortunately it was very uncomfortable situations .I felt it was intentionally done . I have never given a bad review, as you can see the one I gave in February of last year . .i needed to stay longer being u had medical to deal with .but didn't feel safe at this location anymore.
