The view from the room was nice
The floor was not clean, we were charged 2500 xpf for checking in after 5:30 PM which was odd, there was no A/C, barely any lights at night, the room was overall outdated and in need of renovation. Thankful that we only stayed 1 night at the property
Restaurant was very good. Decent location near to stores and restaurants. Pick up from ferry terminal was prompt and professional. Everything outside of the room is pretty pleasant.
It maybe that the rooms are not so much dirty as you just can't make old and shabby look clean. Not very appealing to prepare food in the kitchen and not easy with the meager utensils provided. Not even a knife or bowls. Strange bathroom, kitchen and toilet configuration.
We were in #1 Bungalow over the water. It was quiet away from road noise. Loved the deck for views of the bay and how the spotlight at night attracted all types of fish. The pool is kept pristine. This establishment is family owned and managed. All were extremely friendly and helpful. The on site restaurant was convenient and served delicious meals.
Padding on the pool lounge chairs would have been a comfortable extra.
It was right on the water, beautiful view from the pool area. Bungalow design was pretty, very Polynesian feeling.
Our bungalow was in the back and there was a lot of traffic noise. It let up at night but started getting loud very early in the morning, before 6:00. The beds were very, very firm. Could have used some brighter lights.
We rented an overwater bungalow. There are 3 at this property. There were steps going into the water and our balcony hung over the water. We loved being able to swim right off the deck and enjoy sunsets here. We liked the small fridge, the kettle so we could make tea/coffee and the dishes. We enjoyed the restaurant for dinner.
We wished there were window screens but they don't exist in French Polynesia. We stayed at 8 other places and none had them.
Loved the location as easy to walk to the cente of the village - shops, restaurants, bars and less than 10 minutes from the airport ferry - Haiwai was amazing in picking us up and pointing out all the local facilities and also a fabulous boat trip tour with lagoonarium (wonderful family managed tour) and Haiwai spoke great english. Meeting Levi the puppy was also a highlight. All the staff were so welcoming and helpful, yet discrete. Pool was fabulous with a wonderful view and plenty of sunbeds (liked the fake grass around too, as easy on the feet), pool a great temperature too with long opening hours Le Gecko restaurant was amazing with fabulous sunset views. We had a lodge on stilts over the water and everything was great with again lovely views of the harbour, some of the islands, the boats/ships etc. Breakfast was more than adequate, with lovely coffee and served with a smile!
Not much at all - a hairdryer would be useful and maybe a bit more shelving for clothing and a few more hangers in the wardrobe but all minor points.
Tom was a fantastic host and all the staff, service, facilities and location was benchmark for Bora Bora.
