Very convenient location near Times Square and Carnegie Hall with many transport options
During Memorial Day weekend and in the middle of renovations the hotel reception was super crowded and the lifts were often incredibly slow
I didn’t like anything except the location
Rude staff in the reception, no cleanliness and the rooms were tiny, no view
Booked and paid more money to get a two bed because it was for my dad and I they gave us a tiny room with a tiny bed that we couldn’t even share. had to sleep on the floor and did not get no refund. I called booking and they didn’t refund me too. It was so expensive 1000$ for two nights to end up sleeping on the floor is crazy
It is always so crowded that they don’t even have full coverage and their customer service is horrible
Position
Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, mainly due to the lack of transparency in pricing and policies. We had prepaid for breakfast, but upon arrival, we were told that only two breakfasts per room were included. Any additional guests had to pay $50 per person, per day — a completely unreasonable and unexpected charge. We were also forced to pay an additional $35 + tax per day for so-called “extra services,” which you can only use for certain amenities. If you don’t use them, the money is simply lost — essentially an unavoidable hidden fee. The security deposit policy was equally frustrating. They said they would hold $150, but instead charged $300 for the first two nights and another $150 for the remaining two, without any upfront notice or explanation. To top it all off, during check-out, we were charged extra fees that should have already been covered by the mandatory $35/day fee. Only after a lengthy discussion did they admit their mistake and remove the charges. Overall, the stay felt more like a financial trap than a relaxing vacation. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Location was great
The beds were fulls and I booked the room for 4 adults. It was very tight for that many people
Location, close to my NY office.
Incredibly dated it is funny. The rooms feel like they are untouched from the 70s or 60s (I was born in the 80s). So dated. Like a time machine. Just can't believe they have never bene updated. Super busy with students. Long waits for the lifts. Some staff unfriendly but to be fair they are doing a tough job. Renovations of reception so have to use side entrance. Have to collect free water from the shop! Food at restaurant (burger) not very good and very expensive.
