Nothing to like about this hotel sorry, well due an update. Location not too bad I guess.
Where do I start?! Half the outdoor car park taken up with a skip and area around it fenced off. Rest of parking under ground with an height restriction of 1.8m which was not noted on the website so was an issue for us to park. Had to park over a mile away on the NCP near the castle and pay almost £40 to park my VW Transporter. Would have travelled in partners car if I was aware of height restrictions. Pointed out to reception that they should mention the height restriction on the website, got a shirty response of that's nothing to do with me, not a, I do apologise I'll pass on your comments to management! Also greated with a note on reception to "Oasis Guests" branding them yobs by all accounts, you'd think think all Oasis fans where violent rioters who have never stayed in an hotel before. No need for the note, at very least just "guests" would have been a better choice of welcome. Shower wouldn't stay up in position which would be OK if I was 4 foot tall! Bathroom very dated, mould in grout, poor floor covering with mold etc, very dated. Only 1 pillow per guest.. TV remote had tape holding batteries in. No tea bags in room. Slow to none bar service, stood there for 5 mins before leaving. Reception couldn't cope with volume of people checking in. One person doing all the work whilst another was just on a computer Poor breakfast for cost Overall, very dated rooms. Considering we was charged over £300 for one night it was down right ludicrous. Extorting guests as there was 3 events in the city going on.
It was close to the center
Very poor service, the room was smelling, carpet was not vacuumed
Only concern about check in is late
Help people more about when they need check in earlier you should help them
Staff were friendly and helpful
Room was dirty, cobwebs, hairs in the bath, old toiletries on the floor in the bathroom, bed uncomfortable, furniture was tired. Extortionate pricing for what we received.
Over priced hotel. £370 for a basement room with no windows.
The location was good for the purpose of the stay
Due to oasis and the fringe, a room with no windows cost us £315. The room was dirty, mould in the room and the bathroom. Toilet roll hanger falling off the wall, stains on the wall. Pillow was uncomfortable.
I understand it was an opportunity to make more money due to demand because of the oasis concert. And I don’t begrudge that at all. But to pay £400.00 for a small, dirty, blood on sheets, window unlockable, peeling paint to ceiling, Waller with mould, tiny double bed that would only fit a small man and child
See above.
