The location was great and the rooms were clean.

We checked into our room and stayed one night at the property, on our second night we arrived back at 10pm and found a hand written sign saying that we had been moved to another room. Some of our belongings were placed in a bucket and put on the floor and other personal items had been hung/placed around the room. We quickly realised not everything was there and called the owner. She spoke very limited English so her son was translating and he said that two new guests had checked in and they needed our original room so they moved all of our things. This was all quite distressing and felt like a huge invasion of our privacy, I have stayed in many hotels and never had this happen. The host allowed us to enter our original room to retrieve our bags, passports, car keys and the rest of our items. Luckily nothing had been taken as my partner and I had laptops and jewellery that we thought were safely locked in our room. The host could not see why we were upset about all of our things being handled and became angry at us alongside apologising. We went to bed and left first thing in the morning without breakfast. Horrible end to the stay, I have never felt so violated staying in a hotel. Very unprofessional staff, I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

The host did all she could to make us feel at home and welcome. The Louvre exposition was Easley reachable after the very pleasant breakfast.

Comfortable bed, warm, attractive room and very nice bathroom, with bath and balcony. Friendly host who recommended local restaurant to us.

On street parking. We did find somewhere luckily. We werent offered extra coffee in the morning and there was no bottled water in the room. Unfortunately Chantal does not speak English but her son was there to help translate.

The room is very large and well appointed with ensuite bathroom. The furnishings and fixtures are to a very high standard. Chantal is a great hostess, making delicious breakfast and able to recommend restaurants and other services. The location is perfect, about 5 minutes from the station and also 5 minutes to the high street. Lens is a lovely town to visit for 2-3 days.
