The resort is beautiful and its history is rich. The pools were nicely heated and numerous
I made reservations for myself and our three adult children and their families. I had given the names of the children at the front desk, but when each of them arrived, they were told there was no room under their name. Ranata's Hearth is a lovely restaurant. The wait staff were attentive, but there weren't enough of them. We had a long delay waiting for our reserved tables. (Apparently there had been a snafu with the reservation system). The menu was interesting but I found several of the dishes to be overly salted.
The resort is great. Clean spacious room, good breakfast, and stunning view of the mountains.
There is no coffee available at the adult pool. Very surprising.
Beautiful decor
The view from the pool was not enchanting at all. The kids slide belongs at a water park, not the Biltmore.
Huge and immaculately maintained. Excellent facilities.
Our room, in the garden wing, was oddly configured. On entering the room, one first walks past (through) the bathroom which has no door. When we return, we will ask not to stay in the garden wing.
Room
Value, entry and exit from the compound and then into the various sections.
Mary at the concierge desk was extremely helpful and kind. I really wish we could have talked to her at the beginning of our stay to get some useful information. The facilities were very clean.
The long walk to and from the garage was pretty horrible carrying heavy luggage in the heat. It would have been nice to know we could have got a ride in the carts and also walk through that in between building. The lack of signage and visibility of how to get through the Biltmore (in a car) could have been A LOT better. That place is a maze.
