I booked this room for my wife for a mother's day gift. I called before my wife arrived to make sure all costs would be charged to my credit card during her stay. The staff wouldn't even check her in without her having a credit card and then also wouldn't use the credit card I'd booked the room with for all incidentals and damage deposit through booking.com, and wouldn't accept a credit card over the phone citing that it's their policy not to. We had probably 6-8 confusing phone calls with the staff because they couldn't figure out how check in and damage deposit/incidentals could work, total waste of time and not professional at all. In the end, my wife was able to check in with her debit card and paid the 500$, and now because the staff didn't let her know she needed to physically check out at the counter, the Fairmont Pacific Rim are mailing the 500$ damage deposit to us and said it may take 30 days. Totally ridiculous, I haven't had such a confusing interaction with a business in my life.
