View, beach, pools and wide property with great views
The location and outdoor ambiance of Wailea Beach Resort are truly beautiful — especially the outdoor seating areas, which offer stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service and in-room experience didn’t live up to the high expectations set by the resort’s brand. Check-in was frustrating and time-consuming. Despite having a prepaid booking confirmation, the front desk repeatedly insisted the room hadn’t been paid for. It took intervention from a manager — and several explanations — to finally sort it out. Rooms are not well soundproofed. Conversations from the hallway are easily heard inside, and there's a loud rooster on the property that starts crowing around 4 a.m., making sleep difficult. There was no water kettle in the room. When I called to request one, I was told it would be delivered — it never was. Surprisingly, only paper cups were provided for making and drinking in-room coffee or tea, which felt out of place for a hotel of this level. Breakfast had a great setting thanks to the view and outdoor seating, but the food itself was quite average. Also, the room lacked basic toiletries such as a toothbrush, which you'd expect to be standard at a high-end resort. Overall, while the natural setting and outdoor areas are exceptional, the overall service, amenities, and attention to detail fell short of the Marriott brand promise.
Welcome was nice, breakfast tasty.
The convention and not being able to use any pool other than kiddos pool. Overbooked on convention and then not having anything else available. My room was not very clean except for bed, coffee maker didn’t even work. Very disappointed, regretful to have spent that much just to sleep. Didn’t want to stay in a convention hotel.
Everything
Nothing
The location was amazing next Wailea Shops, and very nice view to the ocean.
The hotel looks and feels very old, needs refurbishment. And on top of all, the cleaning wasn’t good at all (dirty robes, lots of dirt in the bathroom etc…). The housekeeping was very loud on the corridors and banging doors and screaming….
