Hotel Sonnenberg

The room was exceptionally comfortable. Nice, big, private bathroom....working television with all the channels you would want plus more. Breakfast was complete and healthy. Easy to get to by (your own) car. Plenty of parking. Incredible views of the hills and countryside. Overlooking the city of Luzerne and also Lake Luzerne. So glad that we avoided the congestion and hustle, bustle of the downtown hotels....not to mention that it was only a 12 minute ride back and forth to downtown and parking was easy to find in the city.

Beautiful views from the hillside

A long walk from the train station and a very steep hill to climb with backpack/suitcases. Cab from train station about Fr.40 Uber does not serve this facility once youre there its really spectacular view . Room was a little warm when we arrived because we walked up the hill. But opening the windows leading a ton of mosquitoes, which lingered all night long in the room. No screens on these windows or in most of Europe! Bathrooms super clean, but shared. I dont think I knew that when I booked a room

The hotel is pretty clean and tidy, the location is good and quite.

Nothing really, but if you travel by public transport, its not that convenient since you have to go uphill a bit. But if you are driving, then its totally fine.

Very clean property, food too was simple but tasty.

Pretty far away from main town.

Gorgeous setting. Comfortable rooms.

We were not thrilled with the quality of food but not so much so that we wouldnt stay there again, just for its spectacular views.
