The staff were terrific and very helpful, the communal kitchen and toilet areas were clean and the TV in the room was an unexpected plus. Good WiFi throughout the building. There is a #4 tram stop a few steps from the front door which takes you straight into the city centre, and the #5 tram stops a bit further down the road so you're easily connected to the sights. It's also handily located if you're arriving by boat at the Katajanokka Terminal, it's a few minutes walk away.

The showers weren't great, can't tell if I had a dodgy one but they only sprayed lukewarm water for a few seconds at a time. Also the saloon-style doors of the cubicles are not the most comforting.

Cleaning was not done regularly, room was very poorly furnished even though i paid 46 euros for a single room, the bathroom was small, WC wasn't so clean, no body wash or shampoo in bathroom. Towels weren't changed in 3 days.
