We slept
Maintenance, rooms are not well maintained with missing paint work, damaged floors and walls, broken blinds, trapped together electrical wires, etc. Emergency telephone was not working. Air conditioning operated, but provided little to no cooling. The quality of toiletries and toilet paper poor with an empty tissue holder.Staff while friendly were not helpful or forthcoming with useful local information. Not all facilities were available, e.g. the bar and garden were closed. Breakfast while extensive war of poor quality ingredients and not well prepared. Left luggage security was almost nonexistent. The entrance and lobby suggest a quality hotel, but it's a facade for a poorly maintained rundown hotel

The room was quiet and located near much to do. The breakfast was nice and included fresh coffee.
The ART Hotel Boston seems to have been renovated by 3 completely different people. Unfortunately, we were given a room in the oldest section of the hotel. The only problem was that the A/C in our room did not work. When we told the staff after the first night. The staff came to the room and tried to convince us that 82°F (28°C) was standard even though the walls were dripping. We asked to try another room and the new room was completely different. The shower was better, the fire detector didn't strobe, and the A/C worked perfectly. The lesson is that the quality of the stay depends on which section of the hotel you get. Ask for an updated room or prepare to be disappointed.

Bit tired hotel
Location was relatively good, was ok for walking to the centre. Coffee was made specially by order at breakfast. There were extra pillows and blankets in the room.
The elevator was very shaky, breakfast was ok, but nothing special, mostly sandwiches, scrambled eggs and bacon. The outside area looked like it was no operational, the bar was closed, I couldn't get any cutlery in my room in the evening. The room didn't look too clean.
Exceptional
The bed was in reality two single beds put together, so there was an annoying line in the middle. Everything else was pretty good, the bathroom was big and the shower worked well, good pressure and hot water. The breakfast was good, both salad and sweet. Staff was friendly.
I would prefer a matrimonial bed with a single mattress.
