Comfortable place
The new place in front blocking the view
We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub, the size of the room, the amenities including fridge, microwave, toiletries, lobby area, snacks and activities.
We felt they gave us the worst room. It was located on second floor at the very end over a coffee shop. We could not see the rock in full but instead the pelican pub. This was on a Tuesday so it was surprising that they gave us that room. We were woken up at 6:30am by the noises from the coffee shop as well as people going up and down stairs by the room. The room also had a window without curtains so it was quite bright in the early morning. We left drained and tired from the unpleasant sleep.
The front staff was really friendly and handed out flowers.
Our room smelled really bad of pet urine when we arrived. We brought dogs and understand that a pet friendly room most likely has accidents but it was stinky. The bathroom also had pet damage. The construction across the street started going at 6:45am with extremely loud banging and heavy equipment noise. It would have been nice to know that there would be construction and possible noise before booking as I would not have stayed there. You couldnt enjoy the patio with all the noiseor sleep! Also, I tried to order from the coffee shop down below in the morning because it states you can get it delivered to your room. When I filled the online form all the way out and entered my card, it said there was an error and to try again. I tried several times and it didnt work. When I went to the coffee shop she said they turned off the online ordering. Again, would have been nice to know that wasn't an option. Lastly, our fire place stopped working after about 10mins of running. We called the front desk and they sent someone over to fix it. He did something to get it going but after about 10mins it shut off again. We started to wonder if they limit the time to save on gas. There were just too many things that went wrong to make it not enjoyable.
Location and the amenities.
Unfortunately, they were doing asphalt work in front and back of the motel at the time. A little loud and little stinky. But, they have to do the work sometime.
We took advantage of the free tandem and e- bike rentals. They were so fun to use. A really nice bonus. I asked for a view of Haystack rock and they sure delivered. All staff interactions were wonderful! We absolutely loved our stay and will be back.
