was a great location...very comfortable bed and good pillows. could have used a second chair (only had 1). The on site staff were helpful and friendly.
I didn't like that they charged a $25 a day "convenience charge" which was not disclosed until we arrived. They said we could use it to purchase snacks (like a $7 individual size of potato chips)...I felt like it was a bait and switch and I was disappointed. Was not an inexpensive hotel and the extra fees were ridiculous. Also, the wall paper was peeling, there was rotted wood in the bathroom, and the wall mirror was broken. The thermostat automatically shut off unless motion activated which was inconvenient when we were sleeping. It got very hot in the room and we could not make it cooler.
Historical significance and architectural grandeur of the Palmer house and the loop
Nothing even though the room was small it was well appointed and we were comfortable. It was quiet.
When a plumbing issue occurred in my room the staff was right on it, and offered me a much larger room with a view over the city, which I thought was generous of them.
Plumbing, obviously. While some of the rooms and hallways are a little dated and worn, it's still an elegant, if a little shabby in spots, hotel.
