Paradox Hotel Vancouver

The hotel location was perfect. The neighborhood around the hotel had great food and it was easy walk to Stanley Park and other attractions. The staff were mostly helpful and polite.

The rooms were very loud. During check in the clerk told me that the hotel did not like "third party booking sites" and wished I would have called the hotel before using the site. They would have price matched. I believe because I used a third party site I was given a room with no view and that was very loud. The sound of the elevator shaft made sleeping very difficult. The Hot tub and the pool are in the middle of night club and close at 7 each day. Weird to take a hot tub in a bar.

The last room we had was not in a good situation. Not a luxury. Used, damaged furniture, scratched floor (pets?) The pool is not a pool. They should not advertise with that.

Not flexible with late checkout. Allowed till 12:30.

The location was great! Central to everything. The property was beautifully decorated and staffed well.

I did not like how much you could hear the room noice from above. Unfortunately the guests above us decided to have a party and were loud and noisy until 3am. I complained to the front desk and they sent security to break up the party. The manager was very apologetic and did all she would to make up for the bad night.
