Modernized grand hotel. No air conditioning but lovely building, great patio restaurant, good bar/lounge. Fabulous location. Would stay there again!
Air conditioning
It is the perfect location for exploring English Bay.
Our room was so spacious, the beds were very comfortable and the shower was hot. We were very happy at the Sylvia. The location was amazing and the staff were very helpful. They gave us a kettle for our room so we could make cups of tea and they found a charger for us when we discovered we'd left ours at the previous hotel. We were very happy with The Sylvia!
Location
Musty smell, basic necessities like soap not provided. Not very clean.
Full of character. Lovely location.
the location is beautiful
the hotel has no AC, and no gym. the hotel also is right on the beach which is good but if you want to sleep with the windows open, you will hear the traffic and noise outside. The hotel is a bit older which is expected, beautiful but could be better for the price we paid.
