The location of the hotel is ideal both for business and touristic purposes. It is pretty well connected by various transportation means and surrounded by excellent options to enjoy Mexican food. Starting with the restaurant right in the hotel "Dias". The hotel lobby is excellent to chill out to meet people, you can admire some pictures of the hotel in the old times. The hotel has been used by many interesting people and itself is quite interesting. In the lobby there is something like a museum and also a funny bar with old telephones, music and good drinks, prices are good. Do not miss the historical tour were the personal of the hotel can show you some of the special rooms and the cinema :) No doubt I will return for my next trip.
I did not like the plastic containers for the buffet in the interior restaurant where he included breakfast is served, but the personal is so kind and the food is good. I think that it may look more attractive in other type of presentation.
Perfect location for this gem of a historic hotel. Easy walk to Capultepec Park. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Foyer area was incredible.
Breakfast service was a bit dodgy if you don't choose the buffet. Go to the attached Buenes Diaz restaraunt instead or one of the many other options close by.
Super kind staff
No coffee cups in the room
Staff location beauty of historical nature gorgeous lobby and furnishings
Rooms clean but definitely need refresh in carpets and bathroom. Torn .and patched carpeting.
The history and character that they’ve maintained is amazing and I loved the double story library in the lobby.
Nothing!
This is an aptly named Grand Hotel. It has been lovingly/meticulously restored to its original glory and clearly continues a service tradition from that same period.
There was nothing not to like. This hotel must be experienced to be believed.
Beautiful classic 1900 interior, with interesting history. The staff was excellent! Intimate bar with singer.
I like everything but it is not the place for someone who likes a modern, minimalist, no amenities, gym.etc.
