This property is beautifully located on the edge of the crater, my room had a magnificent view with a spectacular sunrise. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well suited to a solo traveler.

It was a great breakfast just next to a great lanscape. you can enjoy the view of the grongoro crater perfectly.

The wireless network was weak.

The view

The food is cheap, they charge extra for water (2 glasses of cheap wine and a bottle of water 18$) and alcohol. The room was full of ants and other flying insects. We changed rooms cause they were all over biting us. And this happened after we went for dinner and someone actually went to the room and prepared the room for the night. That means they didnt check the room at all. When we left they asked me about our stay and the manager was shocked, he didnt even knew about the incident. Not worth to pay this money ever for this hotel. In Africa try small hotels and camps please. People are amazing and food is top. They take so much care of you. In the big hotels we had bad experience everywhere. I wouldnt pay more than 200 a night here ever. My room was at then end 1050 for 2 nights from 975. Exchange rate I think so. For me everything was overpriced in Africa. Is still Africa not London where I live. In Dubai for 500 a night you get a 5 star hotel with a nice view and top food and amazing service. Thank you!

Perfect location, absolutely stunning to see the magnificent Ngorongoro crater from the comfort of the lodge. Especially sunrise is breathtaking. The stay itself is a unique experience. Staff are very well trained and very attentive to guests, they all have shown us true East African natural hospitality.

Can get a bit crowded at reception and in the restaurant during the dinner time. This is a big lodge that also hosts big groups.
