Yes, the taxi by water only is way overpriced to get to and from the hotel. It was over $---for 2 people. All the meals are way over priced for what you get. Example a hamburger was 41.00. Concierge did not have immediate answered.
Everything.
With ONE exception. The staff sometimes bump into your room without knocking on the door. It happened a few times
The hotel is amazing. It's big, with many facilities. The views on the lagoon and the Otemanu mount are breath taking. The staff is so nice and caring. The bungalows on pilotis are insane, so comfy and private. We had free access to kayaks & paddles and we could swim in an artificial lagoon with corals and fishes, it's so beautiful. The breakfast is amazing and the spa (and massages) are great. They have programs to take care of the fauna and corals of the island.
We were surprised that the shuttles from the airport and other Intercontinental weren't free, as we already paid a lot for the stay. The restaurants are really expensive while the dishes aren't really qualitative (e.g: I had a starter at 35 and it was only green salad) - and as it's situated on a motu and we didn't have a car, we couldn't really go somewhere else to eat.
The staff, overwater villa, the view of Mt. Otemanu, everything was just next nevel
Everything was perfection, only the price is high end but still a recommendation!
The location, setting and facilities are amazing. The staff are fantastic and the bed was the comfiest I think Ive ever slept in.
Food was average. We had much better on the main island.
