The rooms are huge great for groups!
The food options for all inclusive is not great and when I checked in with three people they only offered free tickets for two for people do extra activities
- Staff was very kind, helpful and caring - special mention to Karla at breakfast who went above and beyond in her service; Jeremias at check-in providing us with great ideas on what to do and all reception staff! - Facilities were very clean and tidy. - The beach was really well looked after and the promenade was special. - Breakfast selection was excellent.
- Air con worked well; however, a bit loud and sporadic
-Amazing villa beachfront (full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, big living room) -Amazing beach view from the room -Great staff -Very clean room -Comfortable bed, pillows and soft towels -Good breakfast buffet (even for vegans) at La Palapa restaurant with great beach views -Great wifi connection -Good plant-based options in La Palapa restaurant (veggie burger, pasta, pizza, and fajitas - our favorite one!) -Activities offered to guests -Mini market at the resort -Relaxing and almost private beach
-Lack of information about food suitable for vegans (staff is not prepared to answer questions about it). -Trattoria Restaurant is supposed to be the best option to eat at the hotel, but it was a completely disappointment. There is no plant-based option on the menu (not even salad!) and no effort about it. We ate a poor spaghetti after almost supplicating to the waiter to talk to the chef asking for a pasta with a simple tomato sauce. Tip: La Palapa restaurant offers a better and cheaper vegetable pasta.
They change rooms on Saturdays, so they asked me to move to another room. That wasn't disclosed before booking.
My score would be 3.5. We arrived on a Sat and stayed for 5 nights. Check in process was smooth and as requested we were placed in a ground floor 2 bedrooms beachfront condo. I was traveling with my sister and my mom who is 90 years old and has mobility issue. So ground floor was great and the view from our patio was super, straight out to the beach and ocean. The condo was clean and furniture was fine. The kitchen was well equipped with 8 of everything except for one type of glasses. Nice when it was just the 3 of us. What I didnt like was I had to go through the whole kitchen to inventory everything so I wouldnt be charged. A few items were missing from the list and I called the front desk to report that and hopefully that was noted so I would get my full $500 deposit back. We are at the Palapa restaurant each day with the breakfast buffet that was included in the room cost. I agree with other reviewers that the food could be better. I had resorts food before and this place would be 6 out of 10. Sometimes the food is overcooked or dried out and/or blend. We didnt try the other Italian restaurant because reservation is required and because my mom not able to walk well, it was easier to just cook our dinner in our condo. We did have one lunch at the Palapa and it wasnt great so we had no incentive to try again. There was a bit of walking from the front lobby to our condo and that was difficult for my mom so she basically just stayed in. My sister and I got lost multiple times the first 2 days trying to go from the beach to the lobby and back. There was no sign helping you out. It would have been helpful if there was just a few signs pointing one to the lobby or to the beach. I finally figured it out on which way I am heading. I can follow the evacuation sign and usually get to where I need to go. This was a repeating complaint from many other reviewers and obviously the resort still didnt do anything about it.
This place was beautiful and very clean. The staff was excellent and very welcoming. The room was big enough for our family of 6. We were able to drive our car to many excursions. Our car was safe in the parking lot. The apartment had a full kitchen and we enjoyed many meals there.
The beach right off the resort is not too clear but there are so many beaches near by that are only a drive or walk away that it was not an issue.
