The location was good.
We stayed here on recommendation, however on arrival there were hairs on the toilet seat and in the bath. There were black bits all in the bedding along with more hair. There was no fridge nor kettle. I complained and we were moved to a better room which was cleaner and had a coffee maker. I was told i would also receive a refund which I have not received and my email regarding this has not been replied to.

Rooms we had were far smaller than last time although we booked same type
Lamothe House is the very first place we landed in when we arrived in NOLA and it was just the perfect depiction of what I had of the city in my head! The building is beautiful, very thoughtfully decorated, super charming. It screams history! I love it, and the staff has been very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect: it's very quiet and at the same time walking distance from all the night life we were looking for (tones of live music in a 10 minute walk radius). Highly recommended!
No breakfast, but typical bakery and breakfast places close by, so not a big issue.
Perfect location, very close to Bourbon St. The staff was great. The pool was perfect. We had a room with a balcony. Loved the decor and the history of the hotel.
A microwave would be nice for those late night munchies to heat up your leftovers. The TV in the bedroom didn't work. Maybe a couple of chairs for the balcony. Overall, it was still a great place to stay, and I'll be back!!!
everything
absolutely nothing.

Mold, bugs, and false promises. If you value your health and nerves - don't do this to yourself. Extensive review of our stay including picture evidence. We stayed in room 209 for 3 nights (June 9th 2023 - June 12th 2023). Only positive thing this hotel has going for it is its location on the edge of the french quarter. The building is dilapidated (paint peeling, wall coming apart, doors/windows crooked, the railing on our balcony was broken, etc) both from old age and a clear lack of maintenance - pictures attached. When we first entered the room it's state mirrored the exterior. The room was dated, dusty, and the bathroom, especially the shower, looked the way you'd expect an old bathroom, that noone bothered to look after, to look. There were a bunch of drain flies in the shower, which we blamed on the drain without cover and the fact that the room had probably been unoccupied for a couple days. The towels and linens were clean. On the first full day we left the hotel in the morning, came back around 5pm, and were greeted by a housekeeper shouting at us from across the floor, asking if we still wanted our room cleaned since we were back already - we declined. The second day housekeeping did 'clean' our room while we were out - the only difference was the made bed, no trashcans were emptied, etc In the early morning of our last night there I made a completely disgusting discovery. The grout in the shower had started to peel and an army of black worms was making its way across the shower - pictures attached Because of this discovery we had a closer look at the room and discovered mold all over the curtains - pictures attached We packed our things and checked out. Upon checkout we told Todd at the front desk about the situation. Todd promised us a refund for 2 nights and told us it would take about 5-7 days for us to get our money back. After those 7 days had passed I messaged the hotel via booking.
