The restaurant and spa were amazing
No fridge in room
The steak dinner was amazing and the staff were very nice on check-in when I arrived with my Devon Rex Cat and Doodle dog
Sometime during the night, my cat went missing. She is only 2.5kgs and black/hairless rare egyptian breed. I was in the middle of moving across the country and had both business meetings and job interviews lined up back to back across the provinces to explore new opportunities outside of Ontario. I was concerned that housekeeping may have opened the door and the cat got out in the morning when I was asleep. When I told the hotel this, they sent a 300 lb black woman to my room who attempted to tell me that I never had a cat at all! Of course, all of her litter, carry bag and food/water were there. I could not control my rage when I saw they were going to attempt to make a legal argument against me as a guest, rather than help me find my pet. I realized that if I left they would likely kill her if they found her, to avoid any additional time or costs spent in her retrieval. I normally stay at the Fairmont as I know they always provide a high level of service. I thought this hotel was comparable however it ended up being the exact opposite - the staff was sincerely sociopathic. When I asked if I could see the video camera to see if I could see where she went they told me I would need to call the police. The police of course said it was not a police matter and the manager at the desk said he had 'done everything he could' even though the hotel was sealed off and the cat was still there. When I tried to make him repeat 'there is a live animal in the hotel' he refused. These staff are the most disgusting people I have ever met. Rather than do anything to help me they gaslit me. I told them specifically not to tell me that there was no cat as it was reminding me of an unpleasant childhood experience and that I wouldn't be able to deal with it if they did again - they did it anyway. Confessions of profanities. I let the VP Guest Services know she could ROT IN MANITOBA THE HELL HOLE OF THE EARTH.
