The front desk staff were highly knowledgable, professional, friendly and kind. This was important to me because I had just walked 800km on the Camino and was exhausted, the staff was super helpful. They booked me a taxi and then when I needed it to come an hour earlier they happily helped, w/o question. The food was very good both at the buffet breakfast and the in-room dinner I ordered. The location is amazing. My only sightseeing was that I wanted to spend time at El Prado and the hotel is a stone's throw away and 20 minutes to the airport in the morning without traffic of course. The shower was excellent both in the amount of water that flowed and in the temperature. A small thing but the pillows were good, they had a small one for sleeping unlike most of the hotels in Spain, and I stayed in 33 different hotels, that had only a HUGE foam pillow which is good for sitting up in bed but impossible to sleep with. Finally, the decor was charming.
A few USB or USB C ports would be nice, especially for your North American travelers whose computers and phones need adaptors to put into a converter to put a cord into. The adaptors are frequently heavy and fall out of the socket - you get the picture. And investing into one basic movie channel would be nice. I noticed a lot of the standard channels have movies but they are all dubbed, a standard across Spain but most North American travelers loathe dubbing and prefer subtitles. Especially because many of the movies were American made and people know what the actors sound like and dubbing just looks and sounds strange.
Brilliant location and very comfortable beds
All good !
I stay here quite often when i travel to Madrid. If not last minute the prices are ok, nice breakfast, lovely staff and the location is wuite good too.. Bed is confortable. The pillows are not for me.
No complains
Overall a decent stay. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made the nights comfortable. Breakfast and food were okay — nothing special.
Unfortunately, the service at reception was disappointing. I asked multiple times during check-in to register a company address for the invoice, which was reluctantly accepted. Despite handing it over in writing, it was entered incorrectly. This led to a 20-minute mess during checkout — not the smooth end to an otherwise fine stay. In general, I would recommend some additional training for the front desk team — especially regarding guest interaction. There were friendly smiles, yes, but the staff seemed lost, some clearly wanted to avoid any extra effort and just get things done as quickly as possible.
