Conveniently located near the airport. Spacious rooms. Nice staff at the bar and restaurant.
We asked for 2 rooms close to each other and failed to get those. The rooms we got had no hot water, an issue the staff was aware of. Only after complaining, did they change us to a part of the hotel where there was hot water - it was available all the time, but they still tried to put us in rooms without hot water. The food in the restaurant is overpriced and really not very good. Neither are the cocktails.
Good spot for an overnight stay: nice pool and entertainment on site and its a few minutes walk to a supermarket and several restaurants. About 20 minutes from the airport (the free shuttle is every hour on the hour). Beds are comfortable, and liked the big tv screen with plenty of English channels.
No bottled water in the rooms, no charging station options, and late checkin time. The lounge access was nothing special, its basically just free sodas, cake and small snacks; there was no alcohol and the coffee machine did not work.
Bed was comfortable, gym was huge and well equipped. Pool also looked very nice though we didnt get to use it.
The staff was strange, not very welcoming. Receptionists were all quite clueless about the offer we picked (early check in, late check out, $50 credit), and didnt seem to really know what to do with it. I had to negotiate a 2pm late checkout, clearly, nothing would have been given to me if I hadnt asked despite having paid for it. When having breakfast, we were told that it was not included, then told it was, but upon leaving we were told we had to pay. Housekeeping entered the room twice despite the do not disturb sign on the door and the late check out confirmed upon arrival. I was very unhappy with that, mentioned it at the reception, but nothing was really done, I felt like nobody cared. Thats the general feeling I had: an indifferent and cold staff, at the limit of rudeness. It didnt seem Spanish speakers received the same treatment though. Upon check out, nobody asked us how the stay went. The room also had a very unpleasant smell, mix of humidity and dust. It was huge but very empty, cold, and pretty old - no decoration, no furniture apart from a poor armchair lost in the middle. A quite disappointing stay overall, I would only recommend for a short stay after or before a flight.
There is no mineral water in the rooms and they sell a small bottle of water for $ 8.5, almost 10 times the store outside the hotel, the room was a bit stale, and the windows in the room don't open.
