A most beautiful, historical hotel with stunning pools, beach & jacuzzi. So close to Straw Market & souvenir shops & loads of tourists coming off the cruise ships. Walking the other way about 15 minutes is Fish Fry's-best conch salad is Curly's.
*We weren't aware of additional resort fees *Add a shower curtain in the bathroom; beautiful to have it opened but not practical to have the floor all wet after a shower. *Put hooks in the bathroom. Nowhere to hang towels. *Put mirror in bedroom area
Clean and spacious rooms but very dated furniture and design
Nice facilities, clean, good location
it took over 30 minutes to check in. They had staff but nobody moved quickly and they didnt acknowledge we were waiting or seem to understand that this was really poor service
Stayed in the Flagler Suite. Really liked it. Beach/ocean was nice. Location was great!
The lounge was not open. With our suite we had complimentary lounge access.
The location was good. The beach is sheltered by barrier island and private to the property.
The pool bar was open the first day we arrived but was closed the remainder of our stay. On our last day, the beach was littered with rubbish. There was a beach attendant in the towel shack. The staff was hit or miss as far as friendliness or helpfulness. We had issues getting the restaurant on the phone to order food, ultimately we had to go down in person. We consulted the front desk as to the process of how breakfast was charged, as we were overcharged and had to correct it. The front desk attendant laughed and told us to watch out for them because the front desk couldnt correct it later. I really felt like they were not really prepared to be open and have guests. We spoke to other tourist at an event we booked and their experiences were totally different from ours, but they stayed at different hotels and resorts.
The customer service
location is amazing
The shower doors are a deal breaker. If you are bigger than a pencil, good luck getting in and out of the shower. This was the worst part of the stay. The water also doesnt get hot in the shower and it takes a. really long time to heat up.
