Iao Valley Inn

Great spot to relax for 5 nights at end of our vacation. Private location with lovely lanai and lawns. Well decorated bedroom with comfortable bed. Excellent shower. Small fridge and microwave meant we could warm up a takeout meal and keep left-overs.

Although had lots of hangers, could have also used small dresser with drawers. We would have liked to have met the hosts; their family did a fine job looking after our needs when asked, but often seemed away or busy. Appreciate it was beyond hosts' control but note that there was a noisy construction site across the river that did distract from the peace and quiet.

Mosquitoes but that's not their fault

Tamara and Bob have a hidden gem here! They were so kind, welcoming and attentive. The location is amazing and very peaceful. My wife and I loved to explore the property and sit by the river. The breakfasts provided were perfect and so yummy! Thank you both for making part of our honeymoon on Maui special.

A beautiful, relaxing, homely environment, surrounded by lush tropical bush and the soothing sound of the nearby waterfall. The property is secluded but very close to all the amenities of Kahului. You can see part of the coast but you need to drive to a beach, which is fine as I imagine most visitors would have a hire car. The continental breakfast was very satisfying and alternated with different pastries and fresh fruit, enjoyed in our private outdoor kitchenette/dining area [included a toaster, microwave, bar fridge, and pod coffee machine]. Our hosts, Tamara and Bob, were very friendly and helpful [and we were always warmly greeted by their pet German Shepherd]. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay there again.
