The location is fantastic - an oasis of calm in a hectic and overcrowded city. The hotel rooms are very comfortable and truly 5 star. Breakfast also excellent.
The situation at the pool seems unusual to me. The pool loungers nearest the swimming pool were all reserved for people who were not guests at the hotel. They evidently pay a day rate to use the pool facilities but this leads to an overcrowded pool area with insufficient facilities for the paying guests staying at the hotel. The pool area also closed early on 2 nights because of a private function at the pool bad. In my opinion a true 5 star hotel should prioritize the guest experience rather than capitalising on day visitors and private functions.
Fabulous property! Helpful staff; good restaurant recommendations. Lovely breakfast. Beautiful swimming pool & park-like grounds were a welcome respite after days of touring Rome w/ temps in the 90s. Great beds/mattresses - best we’ve encountered in Italy- and spacious rooms & bathrooms.
The facilities are lovely. The interior design is aesthetically pleasing.
Beautiful inside and so relaxing and sophisticated
Loved the beautiful decor and 16th/17th century original oil paintings.
The included Spa wanted to make us wear swimming caps even though we were not even going to dip our heads. Unsurprisingly, nobody was using said spa!! It was disappointing as it looked ok, ive used much better spas and not been made to wear a cap or been subject to overly strict rules.
