Hotel Erwin Venice Beach

Everything from location to customer service to they give u beach towels basketballs volleyballs bikes to rent.

Only inconvenience is 1 elevator so slow moving up and down only complaint

My wife and I didn't like anything!

Let me start by saying that this hotel should have no stars at all! Very rude staff, disrespectful communication, the girl in the cafe area was unkempt and unfriendly. We booked a room with an ocean view, but got a room with a view of dirty roofs with homeless people. Photos in the description. Corner room 614 - the balcony is bordered by a small glass partition, which is easy for people going up to the roof to step over - completely unsafe. Anyone can easily get into the room. The room itself had a terrible stench - as if someone had died. And this smell did not go away even with the window open - although there was a strong smell of weed from the street. The towels were dirty and smelly. The curtains were burned by cigarettes. The street nearby is very noisy - very loud music and a lot of homeless people and there are legal weed shops around. You can imagine the smell... terrible! Be prepared to pay twice for breakfast - on the Booking.com website it is stated that breakfast is included in the payment when booking. However, when checking out they charged us another $40 per person for breakfast. When we tried to explain - they only treated us rudely without any explanation. Although we did not even have breakfast in this dirty place. Thank God we had not more than one night in this terrible place. I do not recommend!!!

clean and comfortable room, excellent location

coffee pods were very minimal ( 2 + 2 decaff) and were not replaced every day. There were extra costs to pay when you arrived including for WiFi and tea/ coffee which I had thought were included. I had the feeling every cent that could be extracted was being so! Staff were efficient but pretty indifferent. The rooftop bar is nice but you can only use certain tables unless you have pre booked.
