Good
Great location - about a 2-minute walk to Kyoto Station with a large 7-Eleven on the way, but it's quiet despite its vicinity to the station chaos. The hotel itself is well designed and aesthetically pleasing. Our room was a good size, though it didn't feel as functional as the room we had in Tokyo. Bed was comfy. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We didn't have breakfast there but it smelled really good each morning. I loved the pajamas and slippers and variety of toiletries available. Coin laundry came in handy.
Totally on board with not cleaning the room except for once per week, but having a full set of clean towels wrapped in plastic left outside each day doesn't seem very eco-friendly. Most people can use their towels for several days at a time. The pillows were odd, very stiff no matter how I configured them. Our room was right across from the elevator, smoking room, and laundry room, so there was a decent amount of noisy foot traffic at all hours. Loved the easy access to coin laundry but I do wish there were more than 3 machines for the whole building.

Its close to Kyoto station, which is very convenient for traffic and shopping. The hotel is clean and comfortable, I would definitely book again when I come to Kyoto next time.
The room is a bit tiny, I can hardly fully open my 30L luggage.
