Itβs a beautiful, iconic hotel.
It would have been nice, to get it at a lower price point.
The hotel and beach are in the perfect location. The amazing staff made our visit that much better.
Nothing
The pool and beach areas were kept clean and orderly.
Unaware until checkout if $30 a day valet charge.
Location. Beach. History
We learned after booking that many areas were still under renovation from the hurricane but the damage was downplayed. Very disappointing for us considering we paid full rates for 2 rooms.
Staff were lovely. Bed comfortable. We love the history and location of the Don Cesar. They are still recovering and rebuilding after the hurricanes so I can't say it was excellent but they are getting there.
Elevator floors and some carpeting need some attention. A typical breakfast was twice what we pay elsewhere. Renovations limit the outdoor space.
