Pacific GroveThe breakfast (and service) in the morning was very good. The location is perfect. The rooms have an appealing Victorian style. Everything is clean. The upstairs ocean-viewing room is a great spot.
We were very disappointed to find out that the inn no longer serves wine and cheese in the afternoon. We stayed here before when they used to do it, and other inns in Pacific Grove still do this. It was a highlight of previous visits. Not sure why they would stop doing it. There also used to be cookies for guests, but not any more... The pool table is nice to have, but the light above it does not work, and the table itself is worn out. Some of the pockets are torn, need repairs. We were not really greeted in a welcoming way when we arrived. The host had nothing to say, except "fill out this form." The rest of the staff were more friendly. In general, the inn seems to have lost a bit of its charm and is no longer as competitive as it used to be with other local B&Bs such as Green Gables and Seven Sisters.
The location couldn't be more perfect. The breakfast was lovely.
Parking lot is small and had to find street parking. Not a big deal but a little difficult during the day when the area is very crowded.
Victorian style
Nothing
Only the location, near the Pacific coast
I wouldn’t say here again, if it was free!, I stayed hear meany years ago and had wonderful stay a memories, however this was a “ nightmare “, sleeping on a sponge filled pillow and spring mattress and the host, was rude and non-Carrying and the place is not equip for ADA compliance, by California state law.
It was very beautiful
There was some stains on the carpet
The breakfast was good and our servant was great. Location is very convenient.
The room and bed we stayed in was very uncomfortable and head board was squeaky. You can hear the upstair noise and could smell the fireplace burning from downstairs. When we arrived the girl wasn’t too friendly at the front desk gave us a key and disappeared quickly despite we had some questions.
