Big SkyIt was clean. The studio was nice. The shower felt amazing! The complimentary washer and dryer along with the soap to wash was such a nice unexpected amenity. The scenery is truly beautiful. Staff was friendly.
The bed in the studio is a wall bed and not very comfortable it is also not mentioned when booking. All the amenities were closed due to the construction that is also not mentioned when booking! So no pool no fitness center no lifts up the mountain no wall climbing we were told we could use the pool at the neighbor hotel but that was very inconvenient. The parking is also a 10 minute walk away from the hotel. But they do have valet.
The hotel is magnificent and staff are very friendly. The hotel room was perfect for me
The beds are not comfortable and there is no sound proofing. I could hear all the conversations, tv being watched, music being played, toilet flushing etc on both sides of me
The surprisingly comfortable Murphy bed allowed more space to move about during the day in this studio room. Well-equipped kitchen area. Quiet. Appreciated having the complimentary self-service laundry as well as a heated pool with adjacent steam room. Staff was attentive and pleasant. Lifts less than 50 yards away couldn't have been more convenient.
Some of the background music choices in public areas. Current pop playlist is too heavy on autotune and AI supported selections featuring maudlin lyrics.
Our room was a studio which we chose to get a full kitchen for the 2 of us, primarily to make breakfast. The room was a bit cramped, but well equipped and worked well for 2 of us. The resort has good facilities (we used the hot tub), is RIGHT next to the slopes, has a super convenient and friendly ski valet to store your gear overnight. It is part of the base complex that has restaurants, convenience store, and ski shops so everything is in walking distance.
The studios have Murphy beds that fold down from the wall, which saves space during the day but at night have 2 drawbacks. 1) there is no room to walk around the bed to get to the bathroom - I had to climb over the couch, and 2) bedside tables are not very usable. The free parking, while free, is about a ½ mile walk so don't forget anything in your car!
