About the stay

Set in a former harbor crane 164 feet high and located at NDSM shipyard Crane Hotel Faralda features design suites overlooking the IJ. Free WiFi access is offered in each suite. Amsterdam Central Station is just across the river and can be reached in 10 minutes by taking the ferry which has a station within 1969 feet of the hotel. Each luxurious suite is a luxury-designed cube split over 2 floors. There is seating area and separate bedroom with a king-size bed and a bath tub. The private bathroom is fitted with a rain shower and a toilet. For a surcharge guests can enjoy breakfast served in the suite. The hotel is 4.9 mi from Dam Square and 5.2 mi from Anne Frank House. Shopping center Buikslotermeerplein is only 2.3 mi away.

Not worthy the money and...

The unique environment.

The bathtub was not possible to keep water (no way to close). The living room was very cold, the heater was not able to heat the entire place, so we had to only stay in bed, and the code didn’t work to enter in the building. Luckily there was a party and the people from the party open it for us.

So unique and memorable

This is one of the most amazing locations where I have ever stayed I am specifically lucky, as I had the chance to celebrate my birthday in the wonderful Faralda crane. The suites are pure luxury, designed with great love and style. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful niche of the Secret Suite, where we spent hours just enjoying the view of Amsterdam. The hosts are incredibly easy-going, cool and generous. If you are looking for a truly unique location for a special treat, this is the perfect one.

An incredible experience.

It may seem pricey, but this is an experience and an unbelievable one at that. The industrial interior was perfect, the views absolutely stunning... the crane slowly turns with the wind so you see a lot. The host was super helpful too. This is for the adrenaline junkies- the lifts are not for the faint hearted, but its all part of the experience and i think its good to be taken out of your comfort zone every now and then right. Just book it- you will not be disappointed.

We were unable to use the Jacuzzi which was a big shame, but whilst there it didn't even cross my mind as i was to distracted with everything else the crane has to offer!

Not as we expected

unique location and rooms

not clean, not worth the price, we were stucked 2 hours in the room without answer from the property because there is only one elevator and someone left the door open. lost a reservation in MOS.
