The property is clean

We had the best time at Aelia, every single staff member was so lovely and the service was amazing! We had a Junior suite with a hot tub and it was just perfect. As someone who is quite fussy with hotels, this surpassed expectations, the room was clean and minimalistic. Traveling into Thira was also easy to get to, not far at all by car. The hotel kindly did a late afternoon shuttle into Thira which was fantastic. We also decided to walk there one day which took about 35 mins. Would definitely come back and stay here!

Staff, especially the 2 guys working by the pool. So polite and full of energy. Friendly and professional. The size of the room, the shower, place was spotlessly clean, jacuzzi water was warm and all 4 were huge. You could almost swim in them. Welcome drinks and snacks.

Booking.com says all rooms have seaview. That's misleading. Our room had a pool view and we saw a tiny bit of a sea. No window in the room. Only balcony door. I didnt sleep the first night at all. It was also my birthday. Really bad night. Felt anxious and hot. Strange not to be able to open a window. Next day we were told you can open the balcony door and lock it in a position however you might end up with a stray cat or mosquitos in your room.not ideal. So another rubbish night as I didnt want to risk it and felt strange to leave the balcony door partially open. There is no mosquito netting and no net curtains. Not practical. You either have the heavy curtain wide open and everyone can see you or it is dark and you need lights on. Barely slept. Wanted to leave sooner. The location is bad. Nothing nearby. No bars or restaurants. The closest is 15 minutes walk through dark house alleys. Not great to go out in the evenings. Fira is 40 mins walk or closest bus stop 15 mins
