Clean and really close to the city
Breakfast good. Car parking very convenient.
Attentiveness of bar / restaurant staff in evening. 'Senior' staff member spent most time watching TV rather than attending to us, two young lads were better. Quality of evening meal poor. We ate out 3 / 5 evenings.
Very efficient and quick Check in 2am!! 4th floor very quiet. Good quality white linen and towels, 2 bottles water. Tea n coffee tray with milk n biscuits. Lovely view of river Lee in the morning. Some morning traffic noise. Lovely helpful staff in all areas. Only downside, tacky carpets!!! Need an upgrade
It was good and central to the city centre
No complaints
We booked and expressly requested a silent room. We arrived, all good at the beginning, 8:30 am they started cutting the grass in the property with a van that was beeping at every moment and the saw obviously making a huge noise.. So goodbye restful morning on a one day break in cork. What made it worse was us going to the reception and mentioning it to the receptionist: First rude answer: "It's not true it cannot have started at 8:30 we have them scheduled at 9am". Bad luck for this lady we took a picture where the time frame showed that at 9:11 they had already accumulated piles of grass freshly cut on the van and on the floor - so first issue (lie). Second rude answer: "You are in a city centre hotel, it's normal that it is noisy" My answer: "no problem if it is loud due to an ambulance, a fire truck or traffic, the problem is when the noise is within the premises of the hotel AND MORE IMPORTANTLY ORGANISED BY THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT ". Third rude, unprofessional answer of the receptionist: "well by law they are allowed to make noise from 9 am onwards". My answer "the law can allow it, is the hotel that should arrange it at a different time not to disturb the customers who paid to rest in their building". Apologies came really slow out of her mouth, definitely did not believe that it was an issue what they had caused. Didn't even attempt to offer compensation could have even been a simple voucher for a coffee at the bar within the hotel, a simple gesture that would have proven that they understood they did wrong. Long story short 117€ wasted on a poorly organized hotel, with rude unprofessional staff. Extra minor notes: 1. Shampoo dispenser not working 2. The bathtub was ruined by something they had glued on it and now is permanently making it look ruined, and not clean.
