Nice, spacious room with view on the lake.
No breakfast available. Terriblle coffee in the room. Complicated parking. Complicated moving around the hotel. Some addiotional resort fee was charged which I hadn’t read about before.
The hotel doesn’t have any ventilation specifically in the bathrooms. Anything you do the smell stays there for ever. It’s an old hotel I don’t know how it’s allowed to be standing without ventilation.
Location was excellent. Close to dining and to the Tahoe Blue venue.
It took over and hour and a half to check in. Room was not clean. Crumbs on the carpet with an actual muffin top under the table! A couple black hairs left around the sink in the bathroom. Room was hot and the A/C smelled like burning dust mites - we turned it off. The door to the mini fridge cabinet would not stay shut.
The location was right next to the event center where we went to a concert that night.
We had to wait over an hour in line to check in as they were only two people checking people in and sometimes it was only one. There were also leaks all over the hotel and even in our shower.
We stayed in room 1121 and the door didn’t even close. So that was a little bit of an issue making sure you had to push it closed every time. Also the heater/air conditioner was so loud like sounded like someone was banging on pots and pans when it turned off and turned on… So we just left it off. The beds were super tiny.
Upgraded suite was impressive, but under supplied. No drinking glasses. Very cheap coffee setup.
The line to check in at the approved check in time of 4 pm was around 1.5 to 2 hours long. When we finally checked in and got to our room, it was a great, huge suite but we were not informed of the upgrade at the time of check in. No one was working the "crowd" waiting for check in to explain the delay or offer any information, comp drinks, etc. Most people were there to see a show next door that started at 7 PM and the whole situation was very stressful.
The whole hotel is so understaffed that it took well over an hour of waiting in line just to check in. Only 2 front desk people and a manager that just watched instead of jumping in to help. Room was just ok: beds comfy, heater and AC malfunctioning so that it froze the room all night but could not cool at all during the day. Bathroom sink drain clogged. otherwise the view of the lake is great! The pool was closed due to lack of staff...next day open but limited hours...
