The hotel is very beautiful. The spa facilities, workout area, and pool were exceptional. Our granddaughter enjoyed the kids' pool. Great view of the bay. The restaurant was very good. All staff were professional. Our room was very spacious.
Bodywash and shampoo were empty in the shower.
Really lovely old historic hotel with great views of the bay. The junior suite was a very large comfortable room, and the grounds, pool, and gym area (which includes a sauna, steam room and hot tub) were very nice and kept in good condition.
If you’re looking for views, make sure to book a bay view room. We booked a junior suite because the pictures online made it look like there were views of the bay, but it turns out the junior suites are on the lower floors and we only had a partial view of the bay. Also on nice weekends the pool area gets really crowded with members of the gym which is open to the public. We had trouble finding a seat around the pool, so it’s too bad they don’t make hotel guests more of a priority. However, it was the first really sunny weekend in May so it may not be that busy all year round. It did quiet down and get less busy in the late afternoon/early evening and it is a very nice pool area.
It was okay, didn't love it, didn't hate it. Overall okay and I wouldn't go back
My friends and I stayed at the Claremont for one night and felt the staff were genuinely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The grounds and the historic hotel are charming. The room felt large and comfortable a bit dark and beat up, maybe starting to feel dated, at least in our case but I don't think that is every room is dark. The staff did do everything possible to make us comfortable.
Breakfast at the hotel was pretty flavorless and very pricey for being not so great. If I ever stayed here again I would eat elsewhere and just use the hotel for its rooms, gym, and spa. Skip the food as it is overpriced and all 3 of us got different meals and all disliked our tasteless food. Also the price of the hotel room is overpriced for how dated and beatup the rooms feel.
location
they were building just in front of our room, noise etc they didn't provide any water in the suite, no mini bar, nothing
